Stephen P. Lordon, M.D.
As the Medical Director for Summit Pain Management, Dr. Lordon is responsible for defining the vision and direction of the practice, overseeing day-to-day operations of the clinic, and directing the care of every clinic patient. Before founding Summit Pain Management in April of 2004, Dr. Lordon worked as an Anesthesiologist and Pain Medicine Physician at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City for two years. Prior to his work at St. Mark’s, Dr. Lordon was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center for eight years. While there, his primary duties were in the University Pain Management Center where he was directly involved in patient care and he instructed medical students, anesthesiology residents, and pain medicine fellows in the practice of pain medicine. During that time Dr. Lordon also served as the Program Director of the Pain Rehabilitation Program and as the Associate Medical Director of the University Pain Management Center. Dr. Lordon also served as the the Vice Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology for FHP of Utah for two years and the Associate Medical Director for Vistacare of Utah.
Dr. Lordon completed his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. He completed a Family Practice Internship at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in California. He received his Medical Degree from The Chicago Medical School.
Dr. Lordon is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the International Spine Intervention Society, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and the Utah Medical Association.

The staff of Summit Pain Management is comprised of Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Radiology Technicians, and Administrative Assistants.
All clinic team members have been carefully selected for their experience and training in medicine and pain medicine. Each medical provider works in a care team with a medical assistant to provide continuous care for every patient.
